We are pleased to announce that the WH & S Monitor project was launched at Fertiliser 2017.

In 2014, AFSA members identified that they required assistance with managing their WHS systems and finding information that was specific to their business and the fertiliser industry.

As a result of this, the WHS Monitor system was developed and released at Fertiliser 2017 for the benefit of all AFSA members.

The goals of the AFSA WHS monitor project were to:

Through the WHS monitor, AFSA members can ensure that they remain compliant and meet third part requirements by running a system that manages:

The benefits of using the WHS monitor system include

Workplace injuries in Australia cost the economy more than $60 billion each year.

To assist with preventing this employers are required to adhere to work health and safety (WHS) laws, regulations, codes of practice and industry- specific requirements, which are both stringent and complex.

Offences for failing to comply with WHS obligations can result in significant monetary fines and possible imprisonment.

The development and maintenance of sound work and safety practices not only provides a safer working environment, but also improves productivity and reduces overhead costs.

The AFSA Board would like to thank all of those involved in bringing it to this stage - in particular Amy Wyer and Rod Abbott for their many hours of work developing and trialling the system.

To learn more on how to become involved with the project and to begin using it in your business please contact AFSA Board member, Amy Wyer or WHS Monitor customer support direct.
